bareMinerals Moxie Challenge Winnings!

Hello!

So a little while ago, we had a business wide competition to create a look using the new Moxie lip range at work. It was a pretty simple...all you had to do was create a look with the testers/samples available on your counter and email the picture in. I umm-ed and ah-ed for ages about what kind of look to do and eventually settled on creating an ombre lip with orange (Light It Up) and berry (Get Ready) lipsticks. If you were picked to be the best entry from your region then you would win a bareMinerals hamper with a range of products in it. Now then, I'm pretty pessimistic so when I enter things, I never expect to win....so imagine my surprise when I got an email from my area manager saying "YOU WON!!!!"  I was so excited and had no idea what I was going to get in the hamper which made me even more excited!! (yes this is just a post about me showing off about the products I won....I don't get to brag that much so I'm taking full use of this opportunity!)

First up, I love a hand written note and especially one like this. It's all about the little things you know?

So here is an overview of my winnings! As you can see, it's not exactly a hamper but I prefer the make up bag as it's much cuter and will be used more! I haven't included a swatch of the Brightening Pearl Eye Primer because I've used this before and it just doesn't suit me. It'll be going to one of my friends no doubt so I don't want to use it, but I'm just not a fan of the colour. It's too light for my liking and I feel it makes me look a bit weird! Some people love it on my counter but I'm just not sold on it! Give me the original no colour eye primer any day!

So first up is a Youth Revealed skincare set. I've actually been wanting to try the Active Cell Renewal Night Serum so it's really handy to have a mini one to try out! The moisturiser I've just run out of so this is handy to have until my full size one has arrived! And the cleanser I have a full size one of so this will be popped in my little stash of things I keep for travel etc (as if I ever travel.....I can still pretend and then if I do ever go anywhere I won't need to buy any travel size things!!) This set retails for £25 (worth about £40 though...really not sure how we price our kits sometimes!)

Next up were:
Blusher in The Close Call - Wasn't sure about this blusher and I'd never tried it on on counter as i always thought it was too light brown for me but I actually love this blusher for a really natural look. It's beautiful and has taken the place of my favourite blusher (The One) now!
Eyeshadow in The Last Call - I've been thinking about getting this anyway so that was handy! It looks bright and puts people off but if you only use a small bit you get a really pretty light sweep of blue that looks amazing!
Loose Highlighter in Clear Radiance - Again, this is something I wasn't sold on. I have a few loose highlighters so didn't think I'd really use this, but actually it's probably the best one I own now! It's subtle but so pretty!

And lastly, I won some lip products from the Moxie range. I was really excited about these as I've not got a huge range of colours on my counter so I was hoping for different colours (but free stuff is free stuff right?!)

Mavelous Moxie Lipstick in Never Say Never - This is the one lipstick I was desperate for after training and it's the one lipstick (well one of the many lipsticks) I didn't get on my counter as a mini counter! Rubbish. Anyway, I was super thrilled to get this one and love the fact that it's the same bright pink I always by from every range possible...but just a bit lighter (thus making it completely different right?!) I'm a sucker for the packaging as well...
Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Hot Shot (top one) - This is really nice for a natural look I find. This lipgloss is a tad sticky when I first put it on but a simple blot does wonders.
Mavelous Moxie Lipgloss in Stunner (bottom one) - This looks quite purple in the tube but on my lips is literally a pinky 'my lips but better' shade. Love it!
Mavelous Moxie Lipliner in Thrilled - I really like the lipliners in this range. This colour is the perfect Nude for me as it isn't too brown or too light. I would have preferred the bright pink or red lipliner but again, free stuff is free stuff so you just accept it and feel good! I like the way these are twist up liners as I find them easier to use personally. You do need some gloss or lip balm on top if you don't want a matte lip colour though.

All in all I'm really pleased with the stash they sent me and love that it basically covers everything I'd need for a full face of make up minus foundation and mascara (I was sent the new Lash Domination mascara a few days later anyway...perks of the job hey??)

And here's the look that won it for me! Everything here was created with bareMinerals products and I'll give you a list if you want to know more, just let me know! (I chose to show you the picture with my eyes closed so you can see the eye make up better)

So what do you think? Do you ever win anything or are you pessimistic like me?!

Until next time,
xoxo

This is not a sponsored post or anything. I know it might seem like I'm always hyping up everything from bareMinerals but it's purely because I love everything that I've used by them so far....except that time I tried the Brightening Pearl Eyelid Primer at work...far too light and glittery for me! I promise to always give my honest opinion, even if it is a bad review of something that the company I work for makes! I won't ever compromise my integrity I promise!
