Review: Taaj Himalaya Micellar Water!

Hello!

So in my Joliebox post yesterday I said that I would do some reviws of the bits I got in my box. I wore quite a lot of make up for work today (I just wanted to look fancy!) so I thought it would be a great time to try out the Taaj Himalaya Micellar Water properly to see how well it removed heavy make up.

This post will be photo heavy and I apologise now for my tired looking face!

So here is my weird pouty face with my full make up on, this was to show that I am wearing bright lipstick and eyeliner, which are usually quite annoying to remove with face wipes. (I know. I know, these are terrible for my skin! They stay moist because they all contain alcohol, which will dry your skin out. I've always used the Boots Essentials Cucumber Cleansing Wipes and they are lovely for a refreshing feel but I need to stop using them for taking off my make up. They tend to irritate the skin round my eyes. I was going to try the Botanics range but obviously this turned up so
I'm trying it out instead. What a waffly tangent there! Sorry!) Also this picture seems to highlight how far apart my eyebrows seem to be...weird!

This just shows the eye make up more clearly. (Side note - apparently it's impossible for me to take a photo with my eyes closed and be in the centre of the picture....I took this 3 times and I was always to the right a little! So you get a lovely look at my water bottle, toy car and nail polish swatch tissue in the background....enjoy! Haha!))

So the next few photos will show the amount of make up I put on today! I would like to point out that I don't normally make this much effort for work (especially as I can use the make up at work to do my face) but I woke up fairly early this morning and decided to play about with some stuff that I've been neglecting since working for Benefit (I'm suppose to wear Benefit stuff at work so I was being a little cheeky with this!) Anyway, perfect prep is always key to good make up application. I think I may have mentioned (quite a few times!) that my skin is quite dry at the moment. I got a few samples of the Benefit skincare range when I first started work and as the moisturiser is for dry skin I decided to finally get round to trying it.

Clockwise from top left - Benefit It's Potent Eye Cream, Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Reviver and Benefit Total Moisture Face Cream.

Clockwise from top left - ELF Warm Bronzer, 17 Photo Flawless Primer,
17 Instant Glow Highlighter and Bronzer, ELF Pressed Powder in Apricot Beige,
17 Blusher in China Pink and ELF Complexion Perfection.

Same as above just with the lids open so you can see the products better.

On to the eyes!
Clockwise from top left - ELF Eyelash curlers, Gosh Eyeshadow Powder in Kiss, ELF Mascara Primer, Miss Sporty Studio Lash Black Matrix Mascara in Carbon Black, MUA Eyebrow Pencil in Brunette, Natural Collection Mascara in Clear, Eyeko Graffiti Eyeliner Pen in Black and  ELF Eye Primer and Liner Sealer.

Lips consist of...
From top to bottom - Barry M Lip Paint in 047 (goes from green to bright pink!) and ELF Lip Primer and Plumper.

ELF Makeup Mist and Set.

The brushes I used were (all ELF ones) Total Face Brush, Bronzing Brush and Eye Shadow Brush.

So here is the Taaj Himalaya Miceller Water and a lovely cotton pad!

Here is the cotton pad with the product on. As you can see, it is completely clear on the cotton pad. It does have a rosemary smell to it but overall it smells quite clean and fresh I think.

So here is the same cotton pad after I've taken off half a face of make up! Gross right?! I really didn't need to rub my face harshly at all for the make up to come off. I did rub it over my eye a couple of times but I didn't have to rub as hard as I normally do with face wipes - plus it didn't leave my eye feeling sore at all. I was really impressed with the fact that it left my skin feeling really smooth but it did leave it a little dry so moisturiser is a must after use.

And here is my face after I've done half of it! (mmm....attractive! haha!) I was really impressed that the remover could get the Barry M Lip Paint off so easily as it really does have great staying power! The Lip Paint did take a little longer and a few more rubs of the pad to come off, but no where near as many as face wipes do. I really did only do a few swipes over my face with the remover and I think the effects show for themselves.

A lovely eyes closed photo for you guys to see the eye make up removal. You can also see that I clearly changed my clothes from my work ones in the first photos, to my lovely comfy jacket thing from peacocks!

I flipped the cotton pad over and put a bit more of the Taaj Water on it to sweep over y eyes again in case I'd missed anything. A tiny amount of left over mascara came off but there was barely anything left from the first sweep. Impressed!

And, after another pad for the other side of my face, here is the finished effect. I look very tired and pale here...so back to my usual look!

Overall I was very very impressed with this product. I loved the fact that after I'd used it, it looked like I'd barely touched it! So much left! The full size is 500ml so the fact that this 100ml sample looks like it'll last so long, I'll be looking to purchase the full size one after this runs out (it's £8.60 on Google Shopping. Bargain!) I really like how it left my skin feeling refreshed and unclogged. I do quite like the smell too, which is a bonus. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quick and easy make up remover. I think it's also quite cheap for how little you need to use for maximum effect! I'm very glad to have been able to try this out and have clearly found a new favourite product to add to my beauty routine!

Have any of you tried this at all? What do you think? Also if anyone would like full reviews of any of the other products mentioned in this post then please do let me know in the comments and I'll see what I can do!

Until next time,
xoxo
