Mini Payday Haul!

Hello!
So I may have briefly mentioned in my Sunday Roundup that I got paid last weekend! I decided to pop onto Boots and have a little spend. I originally was only going to spend £10.....but then I realised that 3 of the items I really wanted would come to £15 so I went for a £20 spend instead......I'm great at justifying spending sprees after being paid! This post is a little picture heavy but, when are my posts not? (It's also predictably waffly too! Yay!)

So first up I headed to the 17 stand (like always) and had a look at the other colours of the Berry Crush Lip Stains (£4.99 each) as I'm loving the one I've already got and decided to invest in a few others. The only tester that was there was a bit of a pinky-brown colour which wasn't for me. There weren't any other testers so I decided to pretty much risk it with a lighter pink and a red colour. I do find that red lipstick can look pretty bad by the end of the day so I was quite excited to get a really red lip stain and the light pink will be nice for a subtler look. I was a bit worried about the red as the packaging is a bit of an orange toned red but I decided to risk it anyway (why not right?) In my local Boots the Natural Collection stand is right behind the 17 one so naturally I just had to have a look... I was thinking about picking up another lipstick in Raspberry as the one I've got is getting a bit low and as it's one of my favourite lipsticks I don't want to run out! However, they didn't have one in so I had a little look at the rest and found this one in Cranberry. It's almost exactly the same as Raspberry but with a little sparkle in it. Lovely!

Here are some swatches of the two lip stains.
Top - Bombshell
Bottom - Smokin' Hot

Here are my lovely lips (ha!) with the lip stain in Smokin' Hot on them. I was SUPER happy with the colour that this red actually came out. It's exactly the colour I've been looking for! The colour pigmentation is really intense and this is with just one coat plus the conditioning balm on top (it has vitamin C in it to keep your lips kissable.....I'll test this out when I can ;) ) I really love how the felt tip type pen nib makes application really precise and easy to use, although for some reason I have found with the pink colours that I need to apply twice on my top lip for maximum colour.

This is with Bombshell on. I know this looks a little like I don't have any thing on and compared to Smokin' Hot and Pinkini (review found here near to the bottom) it is a lot calmer in colour but it's a really nice subtle everyday pink (for when I'm not quite feeling bold lip colour) It doesn't seem to have shown up properly in the photo (unlike all the tiny hairs on my face....cheers camera for making me paranoid! Haha!) But I really like the subtle pink. I now feel like I have a colour for every occasion now! (maybe a Coral colour is needed too?.......or a more subtle red?....hmm....)

Last up on my lip product list is the Natural Collection Lipstick in Cranberry. This one is a slightly lighter version of the Raspberry one but with a bit of glitter in it (swatch of Raspberry here) I've been eyeing it up for a little while and decided to just go for it due to the fact that Boots have 3 for 2 on all cosmetics and I have no will power.

Here is Cranberry on my lips. I really like the hint of glitter in it, it's not too much but enough for a little something extra. I really love this sort of deep pink and think that for £1.99 this lipstick is a fab purchase and will be one of my new favourites!

At the kiosk they still had the "buy any 17 product and get a pressed powder (usually £3.99) free" and as I feel in love with the one I got the other day (it feels like velvet when I swiped my finger across it to swatch my one!) I decided to pick this up for my giveaway prize as I wanted to include some bits that I love and I really have fallen in love with this product. I got it in the same shade as I got last time (mainly because it was the only one left besides Ivory which looked very pale) as I figured this one would suit more people for my giveaway. I hope whoever wins likes it as much as I do! I will be doing a full review on my one soon so you can all read my waffly rave review of this.

Next up....Models Own Beetle Juice nail polish in Aqua Violet (£5) I really took a shine to this shade when they first came out but my local Boots didn't stock Models own then. The slightly bigger one we have in my town now has a small stand of them and I spotted this beauty the other day and decided I had to get it! It's a really lovely teal blue with violet tones in it in certain lights. I'm in love with this colour and the shimmer in it. I think it's the first polish that I've worn just by itself in quite a while so that's gotta mean something!

Here's another shot of the bottle in order to try and show the violet tones in it.

ie in my bedroom...) but still you can see the gorgeous teal colour anyway and I'm sure most of you have seen swatches of this by now anyway!

So for my final purchase I had one thing in mind. I needed a new foundation brush and I needed a good one! I've only just really gotten into wearing foundation and my ELF brush (from in the 10 Piece set that I got in the last 50% discount day, a fab starting kit but I'm starting to want to invest in slightly better brushes really) was fine to start off with but recently I've noticed how it can leave my face looking like it has brush streaks on it (and before you say anything, yes I cleaned it. Daily in fact!) I had gone in with the idea of getting one of the No7 brushes as I've heard good things about them but I didn't want to spend £14 on a brush (I know I know, it's not that much for a good brush but I just didn't have that much to spend on one item....£20 limit remember?) So I had a little browse of the brushes and saw these EcoTools ones. I was very interested in the fact that it was cruelty free as I've decided to make sure any brushes I buy from now on are made of synthetic bristles. I also love that it's got a bamboo handle. Not only does it look nice but it's also a highly sustainable plant so I feel like I'm doing something good for the planet!

The back of it gives a little bit of extra blurb about the good points of the brush. The bristles are 100% Taklon which I think is great as it means that the brush shouldn't irritate my sensitive skin and it also means my brushes will be easier to keep clean too! I like the fact that packaging has a pouch on the back to keep the brush in too.

The tapered point of the brush makes application of foundation very easy and the brush is SO damn soft!! I honestly couldn't recommend this brush any more (the metal is recycled aluminium too!) and guess what??......it was only £7.99!!! I was so impressed with how good this brush was for that price tag! I will be investing in more of their brushes in the future I do believe. There is a full list of brushes on their website and I'm thinking the buffing brush might be next on my list....

So that's my little Boots haul. It all came to just over £20 and I'm very happy with everything I got, especially the brush and the red lip stain! I did have a little spend in Superdrug too but those were for giveaway bits so I didn't want to include them in my payday haul.... I do need to get a few new tops and a work skirt too so there should be a clothes haul at some point (it won't be expensive pieces, I didn't get paid that much!) But what do you guys think? Any bits in my haul that you have or now want? Any bits you can recommend for me? (Seriously....no will power! Haha!)

Hope you're all having a good Tuesday!

Until next time,
xoxo

£10 Boots Voucher Spend!

Hello!

So it's been a little while since I last did a post (lack of money/little motivation due to depression being lame) but today I went into town before work to spend my No 7 Boots voucher before it ran out tomorrow. I also had a lovely £10 Boots voucher to spend from my birthday so I decided to have a little mooch about and see if anything took my fancy.... Obviously lots of stuff took my fancy but I managed to keep it under £10 by using my Boots card in the kiosk thingy and getting some extra vouchers! Here is my little haul....

Firstly, here's two samples I got from my friend on the Clarins counter at work. My skin has gotten really dry and flaky on my cheeks recently (gross!) and it's been really stressing me out (which most likely isn't helping things...) and so today, my friend on the Clarins counter next to my work gave me two 5ml samples to try out to see if they work for me. I've tried the mask tonight and my skin feels really nice so far. I guess time will tell if it works or not but I'm hopeful!

Next up, I brought (yet another) nail polish with my £5 No 7 voucher. They end up being £2 with the voucher and are 10ml and great pigmentation too! Ultimate win! I've got a far few of these polishes so I wasn't sure which colour to go for to start with. I ended up picking the colour "Cheeky Chops" because a) I liked the name! and b) I shockingly don't own a pinky coral colour like this yet! I haven't tried this out yet (the lovely Leanne got me a Konad Stamping Kit for my birthday, so I've been going stamping crazy! Post on that to follow!) but I think it will be a fab summer colour!

So with my kiosk vouchers I could get a few 17 products for half price or for free when I brought other products...so naturally I had a little look to see if there was anything I actually wanted from these offers. Obviously I did! There was a voucher for a Va a Voom Mascara for half price and a free Pressed Powder when you brought any other 17 product. I'd had a quick look at the Rimmel lip stains and was thinking about maybe using part of my voucher towards one, and then I saw the ones by 17 and went with one of those instead due to it being cheaper!

Here is the pressed powder. There were only two left on the stand Barely Beige (I think) or Nicely Natural, which is the one I went for. I like wearing powder and like it to give me a tiny bit of colour (my ELF ones are either Sand or Apricot) but figured that Beige might be a bit too intense for my ridiculously pale complexion! Firstly, I'd like to point out how deliciously soft the sponge inside is! It feels gorgeous when you use it to put the powder on. The powder itself is also incredibly soft too! When I opened it I ran my finger across the powder and it was really soft and smooth! Love it! The mirror inside the compact is pretty big too, which is always handy. I tried this on top of my current make-up when I got home (Estee Lauder double wear FYI) and it made it look extra smooth and gave me a sort of "soft focus" look to my skin. I'll be trying this out properly tomorrow I think and will try to do a review on it soon (maybe in comparison to my ELF ones)

Pressed Powder in Nicely Nude - £3.99 (free with a kiosk voucher and further 17 product purchased)

Next up is the Va Va Voom mascara in Black. One of my favourite mascaras in the 17 Wild Curls one. It makes my lashes look lovely and really long too! My Wild Curls one is running low so the voucher to get me a new 17 one half price was quite appealing to me. I haven't tried this yet but again, I'll test it tomorrow and let you know what it's like! The brush makes me think it might be a little bit like Benefit's Bad Gal Lash mascara (it's got a really similar brush I think) so it'll be interesting to see how it compares. I really like the packaging of this tube by the way...

Va Va Voom Mascara in Black - Normally £6.49 With Kiosk Coupon - £3.14.

I'll be completely honest here, this was an unnecessary purchase really, but because I had the £10 voucher I wasn't about to feel guilty for a little impulse buy! I wear lipstick practically every day at work but can sometimes find it a bit too heavy with the hotter weather (which has been SO nice...during my days in at work....lovely...) Anyway, I saw this and started thinking "...well....maybe this will be good for Summer....I should try it!" I've tried lip stains before and I tend to find that they don't have enough colour or they dry my lips out drastically or they are quite difficult to apply! This has a pen like tip which means it's super easy to apply and it has a lip balm to put over the top in order to keep your lips from drying out. there were 6 colours in my local Boots and I was very tempted to try the red colour out but decided to go with a deep pink instead as I think it's more of a wearable everyday colour for me and...well...the name of it made me smile! It's called "Pinkini

Quick swatch of the stain on my hand. That is with one quick swipe of the stain, very pigmented and very easy to use.

Here is a swatch on my lips. I did a really quick top up after work but, to be honest, I didn't really need to. I'd talked a lot at work, drank and ate dinner too and it was still going strong! It didn't leave my lips feeling too dry either which was handy. You can see on my top lip that it's slightly clung to the tiny patch of bitten skin (I'm terrible with dry skin! I can't help it!) so it looked a tiny bit patchy but overall, I'm very impressed!

17 Berry Crush Lip Stain in Pinkini - £4.99 (Currently on 3 for 2 offer in Boots)

So despite my severe lack of funds I managed to get a nice little haul in from Boots...and all for free, which is aways nice! (I love getting vouchers for my birthday!) What do you guys think? Have you tried any of the products before? Any recommendations for my next lip stain colour? Would you like any proper reviews on any of the items? Any items you can recommend for the next No 7 voucher (we all know it'll be in a few weeks!) instead of buying nail polish every time??

Hope you're all well!

Until next time,
xoxo

Mini Boots and Superdrug Haul!

Hello!

So as you may have read in last weeks Sunday Roundup, I didn't get paid this month! Noooo! However I had run out of conditioner so made a bee-line to Superdrug because I knew they had Herbal Essences on special offer.....and then I decided to pop to Boots to kill some time before meeting up with one of my friends and I ended up getting a few items that I didn't need but cheered me up (also I'd transferred £80 from my Paypal account which was all from eBaying stuff so I wanted to treat myself to a little something before it was all used up on boring things.) Anyway, here is my little haul from Superdrug and Boots!

I really like Herbal Essences stuff. I've got one of their hair masques at the moment (the one in the blue tub...it's a moisturising one but I can't remember the name right now!) and it's amazing! I wanted to pick up the new "Tousle Me Softly" conditioner but that's for hair that is naturally frizzy/wavy so I went with one more suited for my hair type. It smells amazing (like all their products) and leaves my hair feeling incredibly soft and smooth. I think it does give it a little bit of volume but not enough for me to notice it that drastically. Anyway, I need conditioner and this was down to the bargainous price of £1.69 for 400ml! (I would say this will last me a long time but my mum said she'd run out of her conditioner too...and doesn't seem to have replaced it! haha!)

Here is my little staple product in my nail/make-up box! Cotton buds are SUPER handy when cleaning up nails, but I also use them for cleaning up eye make-up too....or when I completely fluff up my eyeliner wing on one eye - you can just wet the tip of the cotton bud and then wipe the failed wing off, dry the area and reapply. Much easier than taking all your eye make-up off to reapply it or going out and being annoyed by wonky eyeliner all night! This is where shopping around comes in handy, Boots had theirs on "buy one get one half price" and their cotton buds are £1.04. I almost did the "well I may as well get 2 packs because I will use them.." but I only needed one as a back up in case my other lots runs out and I'm caught out by it and I also thought Superdrugs were cheaper. Turns out I was right! These were 99p (saved myself a whole 5p!...or 57p really if I'd got the two packs! That's 2 coffees from work plus some change. Score!

So my mini Boots hauls consisted of these 3 beauties! I headed over to the points card kiosk to see if there were any good deals on and I printed off two coupons - one for 50 extra points when you buy anything in the Natural Collection range and a coupon for a free Hide and Chic pen when you brought anything else in the 17 range. I headed over to the make-up section and had a little look at these two ranges and I wasn't really tempted in the 17 section to start off with. I bent down to see if they had a Hide and Chic pen in my shade (I already have one and LOVE it!) and they had one left, so I picked it up just in case! (They tend to sell out really quickly when this deal is on!) As I stood back up again I noticed a new range "Just in!" I didn't really pay attention to what it was all about but I think it's a new spring range (I'm guessing from the colours anyway) I was instantly drawn to the amazing colours of the nail varnishes, there was this gorgeous green shimmer, a purple with a golden shimmer and a beautiful sort of mustard yellow shimmer colour. Naturally I wanted them all and the range is currently on 3 for 2, but I just couldn't justify the spend when I hadn't been paid. Hopefully they'll all still be there at the end of March, but if not I got the green anyway and that was my instant favourite colour! It's called "Juicy" and was £2.99. Plus I got the Hide and Chic Eye Brightening Concealer in Light Rose for free! (The Hide and Chic is like concealer pen with a brush end to it. It's really easy to use and great for hiding dark circles under your eyes!) That means these came to £1.50 each really! Bargain!

I also picked up a new lipstick from the Natural Collection range. I own quite a few of their lipsticks and love them all! (Raspberry is my clear favourite though...) I was tempted to get something different for a change but it was too early in the morning for a proper look, plus the shelves were a little bare... I had a little look at some of the other colours and was tempted with the shade "Biscuit" that a lot of people love, but I'm just not excited by nude colours on my lips (or nails!) So I ended up going with a lovely coral-y pink lipstick. It's got a slight shimmer and has tiny bits of glitter in it! I love this as it shines in all light without being an OTT glitter lipstick.

So here is a NTOD with the shade Juicy on my ring finger. I was feeling the Spring-like weather and went all out with these bright colours! The Orange is another 17 one that was a limited edition one in the Miami Pop range called "Down Town" I LOVE this orange. It's so bright and cheers me up every time I look at it! I did have my ring finger painted in a bright blue but switched it out for the green as soon as I got home because I wanted to try it asap! It did take 3 coats for full coverage but it's so beautiful that I can forgive it for this. It's got a really lovely shimmer through it and is just a really nice colour, unlike any other green I own. Definite thumbs up from me!

I'm going to have a really quick rant here just to say that the girl who served me in Boots was god awful. She was really rude about saying that the 17 stuff was on 3 for 2 so I "had" to go and get another product....even though I'd already said about the voucher for the free bit. She was also really rude about having to put through "so many vouchers" Well a) it was 3 vouchers - 50 points, free gift and a double points voucher and b) it's your bloody job! Christ. I never get people who work in retail who are clearly crap with customer service. It really annoys me! Rant over! haha!

So what do you guys think of my mini haul? Did I make some good purchases or is there something you would've got that was different? Have you seen the new 17 nail polishes, if so, what do you think??

Until next time,
xoxo

Mini Town Haul...

Hello!

So today I had my "Store Approval" for Benefit...I had no choice but to get into town about an hour before I was due to head to the store so, instead of going for a coffee (unnecessary expense), I decided to go get a few bits that I needed and have a look for a simple black dress to replace the one that I've had for YEARS that is probably likely to be on it's way out soon (it still looks pretty good for it's age but I live in fear that one day it's just going to disintegrate and I'll be left without a go to simple black dress!)

First up is the one thing I've been meaning to get for the past 2 weeks and have just forgotten every time I've been into town! I know a lot of people prefer to get remover without acetone in it but I find it works much better. I've got a bit of a confession though...I did only pop into Superdrug to have a look at the Love Hearts collection by MUA only to find out that it doesn't come out until the 4th of this month...rubbish.  just wanted to have a little look at the polishes I swear! Anyway, I've come to have a preference for the Superdrug Acetone Formula Nail Polish Remover over any other ones. I just find it works better for me!

Their removers are currently on 2 for £1.99 so  obviously picked up two as I constantly misplace the first one I open!

My second stop on my tour of town was Boots. I wanted to get some more of their hair masks because I tried some just after Christmas and I LOVED them! These were on 3 for 2 so I decided to stock up! (Also my mum likes to use them too so this way there's plenty for everyone!) I really love smell of the Hi-Shine Conditioner one. It's Mango and Papaya and it just smells so divine! I think it does give some added shine to my hair. Out of the two of them I definitely prefer the Hydrating Hair Mask as I think the difference to my hair is really noticeable. It makes my hair so soft and easy to manage. If they did a big pot of this I would buy it without a second thought. So amazing!

These are £1.01 each (no idea why they can't just be £1 each...) but as I said, they were on 3 for 2 so it's justifiable...right?

Another product that I've been meaning to pick as a repurchase is the 17 Lasting Fix Nail Polish in Seabreeze. This is one of my favourite blues and I think it's just a perfect colour. Now then, I generally always pop my Boots card into the machines by the doors so can see if there's any special deals that I can use. This time there was a "Get a free Blush and Glow with any purchase of another 17 product"...well, as I buying the polish anyway may as well get something free right?? I had a little look and there was a Strawberries Swirl one and a Peaches and Cream (I think...) one. I decided to go with the Strawberry Swirl one just because the Peaches one just looked a little bit too dark for me. I'll be honest, if this hadn't been free I wouldn't have got it. I have the 17 China Pink blush and the 17 Instant Glow Highlight and Bronze Powder (which I LOVE btw. The highlighter in it is just beautiful I think) so I really don't need the Blush and Glow at the moment...but why would I turn down free make up?? I don't know if I'll use it for myself yet or what but it's always nice to get something free when you're buying something anyway.

The nail polish cost £2.99 and the Blush and Glow would normally cost £3.99

Next stop, New Look! As I was looking for a new black dress, New Look seemed like a good place to start. They've got a sale on at the moment so the first half of the downstairs bit is packed with cheap stuff...I had a little look just in case I found a nice dress in there but I then got a little side tracked by the stand that had Christmas Gifts on it.. I was very restrained and didn't buy any of the nail polish sets ('m really trying to stick with my "Do you really need it?" thing...which has worked quite well with nail polish and make up so far. I just need to expand it from now on!) Anyway, I saw this Superman Wash Bag reduced to £7 and I just couldn't resist! I love Superman and I don't actually have a proper wash bag....so......that's a valid reason....ahem....It's got a handle on the side and a pouch inside it to keep some bits in. It's quite roomy and is made of a really sturdy/waterproof material. I'm hoping this will come in handy for a holiday one day soon!

When I got to the till....this had been reduced even further and was actually £3!! Massive bargain for a massive nerd!

So I actually went to the other New Look in my town and went upstairs to visit the Starbucks with a friend. However, it turned out that the Starbucks had closed and...well...my friend wanted to have a look at the shoes and one thing lead to another and I happened to find myself in the men's section where I found these AWESOME Superman socks! (I already have one pair of Superman socks from Peacocks but....these ones are different and I'm apparently now a sock hoarder...) It really annoys me that it seems to be impossible to find Superman (or Batman or Ninja Turtles or Sonic etc etc) stuff for girls (except t-shirts really) If anyone knows where I can get girls Superman socks/pants/anything I'd be so grateful! I find boys socks quite comfortable for the winter as they keep my feet super warm. I have size 4 feet and these are for size 7-11! Extra warmth! Plus...they're cool...

These 3 pairs cost me £8.99 (a little more than I should have spent I think but hey, a geek has to indulge sometimes!)

(Excuse the dusty mirror! Didn't realise it was in need of a clean quite so drastically! Also the mirror is wonky because it's not attached to anything and is just balancing on my bin...classy. You can see that my knees are a bit bent so I can actually see my outfit properly!)
So in the first New Look I found this dress, which is almost exactly what I was looking for. I wasn't sure if I was going to keep it or not (hence the fact that the "stretch" sticker is still on the shoulder!) because a) it's a size 12 (I can fit into a size 12 but I really need to firm up more to be super comfy in that size) and b) it's a body con dress.... After taking this picture I moved my belt down a little and it made my hips look a little less....wide... I'm still not 100% sold on it, but as I'm aiming to lose a bit of weight and firm up this year then I might keep it as my incentive! It's a really nice dress and I think I could dress it up with a different coloured belt and accessories or dress it down too, which is nice. What do you guys think? Yay or nay? (Honest opinions welcome!)

This dress was a bargain at £8.99!

And my final purchase in the second New Look....sale shoes!! I've been looking for some closed toe heels for ages and when I saw these it was love at first site! I love that I can wear these with or without tights and they're pretty comfy too. My only issue with them is the fact that the toe seems to go up so I need to get used to that so that I don't tip over on a night out! I think I'll wear these for my birthday, I just love the elastic bondage straps on them!

These were reduced from £19.99 to £10! Seriously love them!

So what do you think of my mini haul? Have you found any good bargains recently? Any bits you'd like me to review more indepth?

Until next time,
xoxo

Cheeky Boots Purchases...

Hello!

So on Sunday I popped into Boots because I needed a new base coat....obviously I ended up spending a bit more than I really should have done but at least it means I can do a post about it now!(that's a good excuse right?!)

Clockwise from top:
17 Nail Xtras Strengthening Base Coat
17 Nail Xtras Double Gloss Top Coat
Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick in Raspberry
Natural Collection LashCare Mascara in Clear
17 All About Nude Palette (Free Gift!)

Left to Right
17 All about Nude Palette
Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick in Raspberry

Swatch of the Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick in Raspberry.

Swatches from the All About Nude Palette - from Left to Right:
Eyeshadow in Funfair
Eyeshadow in Walnut Pearl
Cream Blusher (No colour name)
Lipstick (No colour name)

Ok, so by now you should all know that I am such a sucker for a freebie! I brought Cosmopolitan magazine just because it had some free false lashes (which are FAB by the way!) even though I already have some and didn't really need them...I think I have a bit of a freebie addiction... Anyway I needed the base coat and Boots have an offer on at the moment where, if you buy any two 17 products you get the "All About Nude" palette for free, so I go the top coat as well (I kind of needed a new one anyway...ahem...)

Right on with the product reviews....

Base coat: Love it! My nails are really flaky and keep peeling at the moment. It really stresses me out and I have to try extra hard not to bite them (very difficult atm because I'm pretty stressed out. ugh!) So, having used this one before, I thought I'd re-purchase. I think it's a really good base coat and I find that it does leave my nails feeling harder and they don't seem to be as flaky as they were before. A must have in my nail collection at all times I think!

Top coat: Again, I love this one. I like my nails to look super glossy so this top coat is a must have. I do love the Rimmel Pro Super Wear as well but this one is a cheaper version for me (plus....I wanted that free gift!)

All About Nude Palette: I really like this free gift. It's small enough to just pop in your handbag and really does have everything you need for a quick, easy day look. I'm in love with the Funfair pink eyeshadow! I wore it alone with just a touch of flicked out black eyeliner and I LOVED the look! It's such a gorgeous colour and you barely need any for complete coverage. The Walnut Pearl colour is one that I already own (from a different free gift years ago!) and I do like it but not as just a block colour. I think it will look good on most people but it just doesn't suit me. I did put it with the pink and it looked quite nice and I have other colours to put it with so it won't be wasted. Now, here's my one complaint...it doesn't say which one is the cream blusher and which is the lipstick so I guessed. I'm fairly sure I have it the right way round but if not....well....it seems to work for me! The cream blush is a lovely shimmery pink and a little goes a long way! This is really nice for brief touch ups during the day to give a little bit of a flush to your cheeks. The lipstick is a really nice rose pink and gives your lips a hint of colour without being too much (a little bit like a tinted lip balm) Very much a "nude" colour. I will definitely be using this palette quite a bit and since getting it on Sunday, it hasn't left my handbag! So handy to have a bit of everything in one place. I highly recommend this free gift!(plus it's always a great excuse to pick up a couple of other bits of make up too!)

Clear Mascara: I brought this really for my eyebrows. I have the ELF brow kit in medium and I love it but my eyebrows seem to not want to stay in shape sometimes. This clear mascara is quite cheap and does the job of setting them in their place. Can't fault it!

Lipstick: Having seen this over on Charli's blog just under a month ago, I knew I had to have this in my life! I loved the colour in the swatches she had on there and since then I have been looking at it every time I go into Boots! I was getting the clear mascara anyway...and another small present for my sister's birthday....and they were on 3 for £5....and I'd be saving 97p.....and so.....I obviously got it! I can talk myself into any purchase I think... I LOVE this colour! It's so lovely and is dark without being too dark and has just the right amount of red and pink in it and, frankly, I'm in love with it. Completely. It stays on for ages and my lips don't feel at all dried out when I use it.  This is a definite re-purchase when I run out!

Hope you enjoyed seeing my cheeky Boots purchases! What do you think? Do I need to go on a make up ban like my friend Leanne??(I'll be honest...I don't think I could do it!) Have you guys brought anything new recently? Or tried any of these products?

Until next time,
xoxo
